ShareTheMeal is an initiative by the UN World Food Programme (WFP), the largest humanitarian organization in the world. ShareTheMeal itself doesnt benefit from your donation. The administrative costs of ShareTheMeal are instead carried by an innovation fund belonging to the WFP as well as private and corporate supporters. As a non-profit institution they were able to negotiate significant rebates with their trusted longstanding partners for processing fees, which allow them to actually feed a child with USD 0.50 for the whole day. The Google Playstore/Apple Appstore do not receive any financial contribution from ShareTheMeal, as it is a free app. The administrative costs of WFP itself are among the lowest in the non-profit context, with about 10%.
